An album by Beyonce

The latest outing from former Destiny's Child starlet Beyoncé is an intentionally schizophrenic affair. Splitting herself into two separate characters--herself and alter ego Sasha Fierce--is the artist's way of presenting what she obviously … see full wiki

Great album- what made it even more awesome was the feeling that her lyrics were sung from the heart and that it was a wake up call for Jay-Z to get with the program - i.e. if you like it then put a ring on it.  When I read that she was referring to some personal experiences in her lyrics it confirmed what I felt.    The songs "If I was a boy" and "Broken hearted Girl" - I think are most telling about her possible ups and downs with Jay-Z.  That couple has managed to keep …

Short Attention Span Summary (SASS):     1. If I Were A Boy: First rate song, and gets better after you've watched the excellent video. Starts slowly and works its way into your heart.   2. Halo: Best song on the album. Passed up by Leona Lewis, who would also have done a pretty good job. Heart-pounding soaring chorus.   3. Ave Maria: Simple interpretation and beautifully sung version   4. Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It): Yes, even after all those …

The 16-track deluxe version of Beyoncé's "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" is, in my opinion, the best solo release from this artist. While "Dangerously In Love" and "B'Day" were both good cds, this one is far more mature and stronger from start to finish than the other releases which sound a bit juvenile compared to this. What works best for this release is Beyoncé's willingness to put out two discs with very different vibes and directions; the first discs features a slew of ballads that definitely make …
