Every time I listen to her words, I am glad that I was encouraged to listen to her solo albums. Back then I thought her music was going to be Pop laced with a message (like with Groove Theory) but, hearing and seeing her grow and change over the years as a artist is great because she had released herself from the bonds of musical slavery.

Miss larrieux has come forth with a album that makes your head nod, makes your feet tap, makes your heart flutter, and stirs the grey matter in your mind and shakes you from your somnambulistic mental freezer.

I would employ the music lovers of the world to take in this album and be prepared to be entertained educated and emotionally touched. This album is a window into another region of the larrieuxs world a world that reflects deep rooted experience in the urban ghettos of the world, it also reflects an elegance of soul that can only come from a true inner beauty. The lyrics the music the conformity of spirit, it is all on display in this wonderful work entitled " Brave Bird"

In my opinion buy it thrice one for the car, your home, and one to store away into your collection of R&B favorites.
