The Monkees
Formed in Los Angeles in 1965. Chosen from over 400 applicants for new Columbia TV show. Consisted of Davy Jones, Michael Nesmith, Peter Tork and Micky Dolenz. TV show dropped after 58 episodes 1966-68. Group disbanded in 1969.
