Lest you think Jamie Foxx is simply capitalizing on his Oscar-winning turn inRay, don't forget thatUnpredictableis actually a follow-up (albeit 11 years later) to his 1994 debut,Peep This. In fact,Unpredictableeven sounds like a slow jams album from … see full wiki

Jamie Foxx is very musically talented, but I don't think that was well-reflected on this project. He's a great pianist and you could only tell that on a couple of songs. There is a HUGE sex theme throughout most of this project and that does little for taking R&B back to the way it used to be which is one of the things he said he really wanted to do through this project.

It was great that he chose one of the most talented women in the industry, Mary J. Blige, to bless his track with her beautiful voice, but I think he's been hanging around the wrong people in the studio. They are not your real friends Jamie cause if they were someone would've told you that this album is not even close to a classic. That's what I would strive for if I made an album being the second one at that. And with a voice like Jamie's it is wasted talent to do such mediocre songs. Kanye West ruined the Extravaganza song. The song with Snoop on it is Garbage. The song about his Grandmother (I wish you were here) is a good song. The title song featuring Ludacris is a not bad either.

I just hope that maybe he had to conform a little to the industry on this album in order to have more creative liberties the next time around. The difference between the songs he wrote and the others on this album is VERY obvious. His songs have more substance and less of the sex, power; money theme that is so common is a lot of today's music. On the DVD side of the dual disc, there is an intimate interview where he is playing the piano and singing some songs that are on the CD and some that are not and that interview just really does not fit with the mood of the CD. Again I just don't think Jamie Foxx had enough influence on this project and that is very unfortunate.

Overall, I was not as pleased as I couldve been with this CD, but I'm still behind Jamie 100%. The CD is predictable and a bit boring for me. Jamie I love ya more than the next person so I'm not hating. I'm being honest.
