Buble covers all the bases in his brilliant new album.

So what's your pleasure?  Do you enjoy tunes from the Great American Songbook?  How about a  little rhythm & blues?  Perhaps you dig the music of Van Morrison.  Or maybe you are someone who enjoys sampling terrific new music from a gifted singer/songwriterMichael Buble continues to be one of the most dynamic and versatile recording artists working today.  His brilliant new album "Crazy Love" offers up an eclectic mix of venerable standards, reworked favorites as well as a pair of exciting new tunes penned by Buble himself.  Seems like each time I play this disc I enjoy it even more!

Now as you might expect, no Michael Buble album would be complete without a representative sampling from the Great American Songbook"Crazy Love" features a handful of these remarkable tunes including the perennially popular "All Of Me", the Hoagy Carmicheal classics "Georgia On My Mind" and "Stardust" (at one point the most recorded tune of all-time) as well as the enduring favorite "You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You" and a terrific song that you just don't hear all that often "All I Do Is Dream of You" which was a huge hit in the 1930'sSome mighty impressive stuff here!

Judging by the rest of this album Michael Buble could certainly never be accused of being a one- trick pony.  For one thing he proves to be an extraordinary songwriter as evidenced by a pair of fabulous new songs on this disc.  I would have to say that my very favorite song on "Crazy Love" just might be the Buble penned tune "Haven't Met You Yet",  a lively little ditty that reminds me an awful lot of Randy Newman's "Short People".   Among the other outstanding tracks on "Crazy Love" are Michael Buble's duet with Sharyn Jones of the old 1960 R & B favorite "Baby (You've Got What It Takes)" and of course the title track "Crazy Love" which Buble culled from the Van Morrison album "Moondance" from so many moons ago.  Finally, I would be remiss if I failed to make mention of "Heartache Tonight " which I found to be the most surprising track on this disc.  With a remarkable new arrangement featuring a strong brass section Buble makes this old Eagles hit all his own.

Now I realize that a lot of younger people might dismiss this Michael Buble album as "Old Fogey"  music.  This would be a mistake.  I can safely predict that someday you are going to like a lot of this stuff, particularly the tunes from the Great American Songbook.  Remember that the same kids who listened to Led Zeppelin and the Grateful Dead in the 1960's and 1970's are now flocking to concert halls to see this guy.  "Crazy Love" is a disc that can be enjoyed and appreciated by listeners of all ages.  For the first time in a very long time I am enthused by a new album.   Very highly recommended!

I enjoy reading this review, I own his previous album and found it to be great. I was unsure how this would compare to "Call Me Irresponsible" and I was pleasantly surprised. He adds a new flavor to his music and I promise that if you are already a fan or just starting to listen that this cd will soon become one of my favorites for my mellow moments.

I listened to "Crazy Love" and thought it was a bit over orchestrated but that said I will buy album anyway. Hey why not do a LunchList of your favorite MB songs! My is ♥♬♪♨♩♫ Home from "That's It" I listened to it over and over again when I was in PA on a project for 8 weeks on a long 11,000 miles road.
