I'm not a big fan of Barbra Streisand but I'm a big fan of some of the songs she sang. I've also seen some of her movies but frankly, not many of them are memorable as far as I'm concerned. May be at the age when I was exposed to them, I was simply too young to appreciate those  movies. But I do like some greatest songs from those movies.

People from Funny Girl is one of them. I love the lyrics in this song too! Lovely!

People, People who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
We're children needing other children
And yet letting our grown-up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
Lovers Are very special people
They're the luckiest people in the world
With one person,
One very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you are half now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
First be a person who needs people
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world.

With one person
One very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you are half now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
First be a person who needs people
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world.

Papa Can You Hear Me from Yentl is another great piece of music.

Another of my personal favorite of hers is the soundtrack from the movie I Finally Found Someone starring Jeff Bridges & Barbra, sung by Bryan Adams & Barbra. Great song for a wedding too!

Some other all time favorites are:
  • Evergreen
  • Memory
  • Send in the Clowns
  • Somewhere
  • The Way We Were

Here are the latest from Barbra at a recent concert. Cool to hear her and Il Divo singing some oldies, making the song trendy somewhat!

Finally, as an added bonus for doing this review and searching for the appropriate videos on YouTube, I found this classic, another all time favorite of mine!   S o m e   d a y   m y   p r i n c e   w i l l   c o m e   from the cartoon Snow White, sung none other by Barbra! Cool!!!

Thanks! I'll check that out when I can find time. Right now I don't even have time for the news! :-) Apriori Beauty looks interesting. Are you working there? I once worked for the brand Clarins for a short stint after graduation. It was fun and interesting working for a cosmetic company. Tell me more about what you do there.

Barbra has been more idol for 45 years. I've seen her twice in concert and know every dialogue in her movies from Funny Girl to Prince of Tides

Hate her politics but boy the lady sure can sing. "People" is one her best ever!
