All of the songs on "Away From The World" move me in some way. This album has an excellent mix of up tempo songs and slower melodic songs. The album truly holds my interest throughout. I have always admired how Dave Matthews incorporates various instruments in his music. The violin playing on the first track is a good example. "Broken Things" is a great alternative rock song, that features goregous violin playing by Boyd Tinsley. "Belly Belly Nice" is a song featuring groovy sax playing by Jeff Coffin. Dave plays the ukulele on the track "Sweet". This is a delightful instrument to listen to. Dave's voice is very soothing on this pretty song. "Gaucho" is a song that asks listeners to take an active part in changing the world. The lyrics of this song are very moving. I don't know why this song is entitled "Gaucho". I like this song very much though. It is an inspirational rock song. "Mercy" is a hopeful song that reminds that I can overcome any obstacle with determination and hard work. This song is arranged beautifully musically. Stefan Lessard plays piano on this track. "If Only" is a song about a man trying to recapture the love and affection of a woman. I like the lyrics of this song. I can relate to every word of it. "Rooftop" is a song with a great beat. I have to mention Carter Beauford here. He is the drummer of the band. His drumming gets me moving on this track. This song is filled with vitality and energy. "Rooftop" is a song that simply rocks. This new album by The Dave Matthews Band is absolutely superb.
