Don't get me wrong. For their size, these Micro Series in-ear headphones from Lift Audio sound great. Probably better than any other earbuds this size. But their "market's smallest" 5mm drivers don't pack the punch they promise. Sound reproduction is pretty good across most of the range, but seems to fall off a bit at the extreme highs and lows. Even deep in my ear in a quiet room, they just don't have the presence of some of my other earbuds.
These are very light earphones and fit well in your ear once you find the right size tip. I used the largest of the 3 sets that came with the earbuds and carry case. They isolate the wearer from outside noise fairly well, though not so much that they would put one in danger. They stay snug during physical activity--until I start really sweating. Then they slide out of my ear canal more easily and the tiny round backs make it hard for me to position them back into my ear properly. During casual, non-active use, they stay put just fine.
The buds themselves have a metal case and seem quite sturdy, and the tips haven't shown any wear after several weeks of use. The cord itself seems a bit flimsy and I am concerned about breakage after reading reviews of Lift Audio's other headphones, but we shall see. Overall, they are decent earphone for their price range, though the stock buds that came with my Sansa Clip give them a run for their money. You could do a lot worse, but for full-range sound, you may want to look elsewhere. I much prefer my Rockford Fosgate Punch Plugs, even with their larger size and heavier cord.
