While Scandinavia and even France seem like parts of Europe that get the most attention in relation to black metal, Ukraine has given the black metal genre quite a few good bands.  Symphonic black metal is a niche of black metal that's hard to tackle, since it's so easy to screw it up and create some really cheesy crap, but thankfully, Nokturnal Mortum know their stuff.
