This is a true "cult classic" in the thrash metal niche.
I think it's remarkable that Morbid Saint's "Spectrum of Death" sounds like a thrash/death metal hybrid right out of Germany, yet they're from Sheboygan, Wisconsin. These guys really knew their stuff, as this album is jam-packed with excellent thrash riffs, pummeling drum beats, and vicious, raspy vocals. Top tracks include "Lock Up Your Children," "Assassin," and "Scars."
Here's some of the best tracks so you can get an idea of what they're like.
Finding hard copies of this album is rather difficult, but if you're not a fantatical CD/vinyl/tape collector (which isn't a bad thing at all, since I have quite a few vintage pressings of metal albums I adore, including this one), you'll be glad to know that "Spectrum of Death" is available on Amazon's MP3 store.
