Lionel Richie gives his classic songs a country twist with "Tuskegee"

  • Mar 27, 2012
Lionel Richie gives his classic songs a new twist with the help of country's biggest stars.  "Tuskegee" is Lionel's home town in Alabama.    These songs sound fresh with these new musical arrangements.  Each track has a subtle distinctive nuance that makes it stand out for me.  You Are features Blake Shelton.  His voice makes my heart soar.  He makes me believe thart I can find that special woman.  The acoustic guitar playing is effortless and enjoyable here.  "Easy" is a duet with Willie Nelson.  I love the harmonica and violin featured on this song,  Willie has such a soothing vocal tone as does Lionel. This is a great track.  My other favorite track is "Endless Love". with Shania Twain.  This song features ukulele playing.  This is an unique distinction that makes this song special.  Shania has a lovely voice.  I am so glad to hear her singing again. "Say You Say Me" features the steel pedal guitar.  This instrument gives the song a classic country tone. "Stuck On You" features Darius Rucker.  I am still getting used to Darius as a country singer, but I think their voices blend together perfectly.  "All Night Long" features steel drum playing.  It has a calypso light hearted tone that I love.  "Lady" is a song that features Kenny Rogers.  The piano playing is absolutely beautiful here.  Rascal Flatts is my favorite country group.  They deliver a spirited performance of "Dancing On The Celling".  This is a four and a half party of a song.  This song rocks with the banjo, violin and electric guitar playing.  This song is proof that some country music really rocks."Sail On" is one of my favorite song from the  Commodores.  Tim McGraw gives this song a reflective quality.  This song makes me reflect  of all of my relationships with women.  This tune really moves me.  "Deep River Woman" is a very romantic song.  The lyrics of this love song makes it an excellent country tune."Just For You" is a song that I haven't many times, but I enjoy it.  This song fills me with hope.  Lionel Richie makes me a bigger fan of country music with "Tuskegee".
