Alicia Keys is a talented singer, songwriter and musician. Her musical style is a blend of her classical piano training, growing up on soul music and fusing that sensibility with R&B. Her latest album As I am is her best work to date with more experimentation in terms of musical styles and vocal arrangements. My favorites on the album are Superwoman, No One (her big single from the album), and Sure Looks Good to Me. I love her music because it is confident and speaks a lot about believing in yourself and fuflfilling your potential. This album also explores the flirty, more playful side of Keys, with some sexier lyrics and themes.

Keys is very underrated. Even though she's a household name, as far as a talent, she's not given the due she deserves from critics. I love how she is so humble and simplistic, a throw back to an era long ago.
