Pascal Ayerbe is a French sound enginer and self taught musician who creates one of the most funfilled and quirky music to be found anywhere.
Apart from traditional instrumensts like Guitar, Accordion, glockenspiel and xylophones , he has a passion for sounds in all its forms and on his CD´s he uses everything including the kitchen sink.
He collects all kinds of toys and toy instruments like Toy Pianos, bells and whistles and percussion instruments of all sorts and he has created numerous objects that create the most wonderful sounds. The kitchen with its utensils is obviously used a lot for inspiration.
The music is like it´s composed by a highly intelligent child with a great sense of humour who also has a strong sense for quirky music patterns, funny rhythms and sounds and is blessed with a nice dose of the surreal.
His homepage http://www.pascalayerbe.com/ is great, it has the ususal information about the artist and his CD´s and so on, but it also has a lots of pictures of his toys and instruments and it has some virtual instruments that you can play with your computer mouse including a Toy Piano which is Great fun to play with.
So if you´re looking for some musical fun that does not take it self to seriously check out Pascal Ayerbe.
