Delicious Wines and Super Nice

While I enjoy wine immensely (especially red), I do not feel accomplished enough as a taster to review particular wines. I would feel a little silly describing the bouquet and structure and using words like oaky, full bodied, tannic, while claiming to taste or smell hints of different fruits and herbs. I can say with certainty however that I enjoy a particular wine or the wines of a particular winery and Merry Edwards fits the bill.

They specialize in Pinot Noirs and offer a number of blends and single vineyard wines. I have enjoyed many of them over the years and I reliably order the Russian River and Sonoma Coast pinots since they are a bit cheaper than the single vineyards. The winery has remarkable service as well. When I joined their mailing list, I received a really nice personalized email from an employee welcoming me. When I ordered, I received a call from someone who wanted to confirm my preferred shipping date and she checked the weather to make sure that when the wine shipped, it would not be too hot so as to possibly damage it.

If you join the list, you receive a mailer a couple of times a year with your allocation amounts and descriptions of the various wines for sale. The website also has a cool recipe section with recommended wine pairings. I think they are a class act and if you like Pinot's, you should check them out.
