Facebook is a great way to stay in contact with all the members of your family, no matter where they live it only takes a second to check in and see how everyone is!
2
WordPress
Wordpress blogs have some of the best tools for tracking who visits your blog, what posts are driving the most interest, and what people are searching for when they are finding you. The layouts are constantly being updated with new and fresh looks, and the ease of usability for adding linkage to your facebook, twitter and other sites is the best I have come across.

Ishallcallyouthemoon.wordpress.com
This is my poetry site..Wordpress is great for expressing your hobbies and this one is mine.
4
Poetry at the Peaceful Pub
If you are a poet and are looking for a great bunch of poets to share your work with and get respectful responses from you might want to check them out. They have sections for criticism, if you want it, or completely complimentary and supportive. if you are a poet this is a great place to have other poets to discuss ideas with.
5
Gmail
I adore the googlechat function the immense amount of storage and the way they save my chats for later reading if I forget something I discussed with someone professional or personal. They even have video chats now! The best place for chatting bar none.
6
Viddler
Want to try your hand at a podcast or making videos but do not know the basics? Viddler is a great community for the beginning podcaster. They explain everything and it's easy to upload and share your videos on blogs, Youtube and even email.
7
AOL Radio
You don't have to have AOL to get the best selection of radio channels specific to your own personal music choices. I use the exercise channel all the time for my work-outs.
8
Wizard 101
If you like World of Warcraft but find it a bit to bloody, or you have kids you do not want exposed to that kind of violence..or you simply want something less complex to play, check out Wizard101. The characters are funny, the game is played with battle cards, and the characters don't die..they are simply defeated. How can you beat that? This game is perfect for families and they have a special discount rate just for that purpose! You can try the game for free and then, if you like it or reach the level where membership is needed, you can do it for as low as $10 a month..even cheaper if you have a family and add them at the family rate.
9
Pogo Games
The real fun in playing pogo games is the Avatar they give you, the badges you can earn each week, and the new and interesting games they come up with each month.

Amazon seems to have just about anything you could ask for. I personally find that giving an Amazon card for Christmas is the best way to go. They have such an immense selection that anyone I give a gift card is bound to find something perfect for their personality..and I come out looking like a genius!

Findagrave.com
Learning about your roots is difficult and time-consuming. This site is a must-have if you plan to do any type of genealogical research. For those not looking to do research it also has a pretty cool section devoted to famous grave-site's, you can leave your favorite dead celebrity a flower and a note about how awesome you really think they are!
12
Hulu
If you have never tried HULU you are missing out. Free tv on the net! This site has channels like the Sci-fi channel, Comedy central, and the food network. Television companies are learning that if a fan comes into a series after the season has started HULU is a great way to catch up and a wonderful way to add fans to their channel!
13
Fantastic Fiction
Looking for a book or author in the Mystery, Romance or Science Fiction category? Want to learn of other books by an author you just discovered? Check out fantastic fiction. They are the #1 best choice for anyone who makes a list of the books they have read, books they want to read, or authors they want to look up again for future books.
14
Prime Crime
This site is the best choice for looking at the newest books to come out in the mystery genre. Prime Crime has a habit of selecting the best Authors I have ever read. When you fancy a mystery they are the best site to visit..because they break their Mysteries down into types to make it so much easier to find "Your type" of mystery.

Facade.com
I love getting my Tarot reading done on this site. One of the only ones I have ever come across that allows for excluding reversal cards, (something I believe is unnecessary as there are both negative and positive cards already in a reading. ) I also find the biorhythms quite accurate when seeing how you compatible with another person. Did I mention they do Tarot readings each day for Celebrities as well, and you can read them!

Imagekind
If you are a Artist or Photographer this site is a great way to start out selling your pieces. If you are willing to put in the work and set up your pieces with proper Keywords and categories to drive customers to you. The input from other artists is invaluable and it's great to meet others in the business of selling and marketing their work. Did I mention that they have a free starter account?

Daily Booth
Daily Booth is a site that allows you to take a photo once a day with your webcam and create a unique Daily Journal or vidblog of how you are doing. I find it a really nice way to connect to people who read my blog and want to know who it is they are reading about. They also support Podcasts. Did I mention Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore both do the Daily Booth?

What did you think of this list?
