Magic Kingdom is the last place I would visit

What? That is blasphemy! How can you say that?

Before you riot against me and boycott the site let me explain...

One thing I have learned over the years from being a parent and from having a very strong willed little princess is how to keep the peace. We joke all the time and actually found a shirt that says "Irish Temper Italian Attitude". That about sums up our little one :)

So when planning our Disney vacations I have learned one valuable lesson that if your a parent it would be wise to follow.

**Do Magic Kingdom last**

Once you take your little one to the Magic Kingdom they will care less about the other parks, for the most part. They will have a few things they like about each park for example our little on loved Playhouse Disney Live at Hollywood Studios, Nemo the Musical at Animal Kingdom, and for some strange reason Space Ship Earth at Epcot. But she absolutely was in love with the Magic Kingdom.

Don't get me wrong I love all the Disney Parks and there are tons of things to do at each park for kids, but once your kids get a glimpse of Cinderella's Castle and experience the sights, sounds, and enchantment of the Magic Kingdom there is no going back.

Most people start their vacations on the weekend. We like to arrive on Saturday and if you track any park attendance websites they will tell you Magic Kingdom is the park to avoid on the weekends.

Quick tip - Avoid parks that have Extra Morning Magic Hours as they will be the most busiest park that day.

So my suggestion would be to get the other 3 parks out of the way first. Figure out what your children like the best in each park and visit those rides or attractions several times. If you plan it right you can visit the Magic Kingdom in the evening the 3rd day to experience Spectromagic, if you are there this summer maybe Main Street Electrical Parade, or early the 4th morning for breakfast.

Quick tip - Breakfast at Crystal Palace on the fourth day will land you in the park before everyone else for some excellent photo oppurtunities.

This is just one of the tricks I have learned from my countless visits to the park. It's a great way to see the other parks when they are less crowded, and to allow your children to experience the Magic Kingdom for the rest of their visit which you know they will want to.

Hope this helps you keep the peace too.

This is such a useful review and it makes total sense. Next time I go to WDW (just me, no kids) I'm totally going to do the same thing, regardless. It's great advice all around!

Thanks for those frequent visitor tips!  Don't know if you caught @EverythingWDW's review, but she actually included some info on best times of the year to visit WDW.  I'll have to combine both of your tips for my visit!  Oh, and I hope that Irish Temper Italian Attitude shirt is made princess-sized ;P

The Magic Kingdom started it all at Disney World, opening on October 1st,1971.      This is the place where everyone is a kid again and the imagination reigns supreme.      The folks at Disney excel at storytelling and this place is an example of some of their finest work. The level of detail that went into each land and attraction, assures the visitors that they can successfully escape reality and enjoy their day in this very special place.   …

We love Walt Disney World for attractions, resorts, restaurants, characters and more. But for many of us who return time after time, there is always something a little less travelled at the "World" enhancing the overall Disney experience and drawing us back. This story is about some of the lesser known or frequented Disney magic that makes our vacations truly special or unique, and which takes us off the beaten path at Walt Disney World.   Today we take a walk down Main Street, …

Back to the Future:   The New "Old" Mickey Mouse Watches   at Walt Disney World Main Street Watches   We returned this weekend from our trip to Walt Disney World. I have about 1500 photographs and two dozen videos to index, sort and prepare for use in stories for the "A World View" blog. But one set of pictures are of a new Disney Parks product line recently introduced at D23 and which arrived at Walt Disney World for display and sale …

The most magical moment at the Magic Kingdom is when the clock strikes twelve on New Year's Day! Simply mesmerizing; like a dream comes true
