ok Hello Fellow Lunchers!

I am a self-proclaimed foodie and love eating almost everything I can get my hands on! I’ve always had a special passion for both making and eating sweets. After my long time love affair with dessert, I finally decided to throw caution to the wind, leave my cubicle behind and run away to Paris for pastry school.... … more

I entered into the Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest with much anticipation. I was eh about The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, but The Girl Who Played With Fire saved the series for me and I had heard many good things about the third and final installment.  We pick up right where the second book left off. Lisbeth Salander has miraculously … more

After an onslaught of Facebook statuses declaring Inception to be the most amazing movie of the year, I decided to head to the theater and check it out for myself. While the concept of Inception is refreshingly unique and creative, and Nolan did a pretty amazing job of jam packing a lot of information into one movie, there were a few aspects I found … more

With most book series, I finish one and instantly pick of the next. But my feelings on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo were somewhat lukewarm, and I wasn't sure I even wanted to continue with the series. While it was a fast and fun read, some parts felt underdeveloped. I ended up reading two other books before the nagging feeling of a project left … more

I didn't see any previews for Despicable Me until I saw Toy Story 3 in the theatre. But from that moment, I knew I wanted to see it. It looked silly and fun, and above all....really CUTE. My movie loving friend and I missed opening weekend, but managed to make our way to the theatre on Monday evening. I managed to dig up my old student ID, but … more

On a recent trip to visit my parents, my mom handed me a cute printed bag. I opened it up to find some soft and cozy PJ pants of the same printed fabric. Along with the pants came a pamphlet of information about the International Princess Project. I could immediately see that these were no ordinary pajamas.  According to the pamphlet, "over … more

San Francisco Neighborhoods (26)

in the I Left My Heart in San Francisco community
San Francisco may be small, only 7x7 square miles, but there is an incredibly diverse set of neighborhoods within this little city. Below is a list of neighborhoods, loosely in order based on my favorites -- though that changes weekly and I know some better than others, which bumps them up on the list.

My Summer Reading List (9)

Summer is the season of laying in the sun and working on my tan. A superficial activity, yes. But it also allows me to great lengths of time to engage in a less superficial activity -- reading! I've gotten a start on my summer reading list and hope to add a few more books. Recommendations are definitely welcome!

Isn't it the cutest!? It was a birthday gift from my dad 3 years ago. I have a few pics on it, but none that are fantastic enough. I think I'll stage a photo shoot just for my review!!
