Soul: The first thing to know about me is that my worldview is decidedly Christian. Therefore, my chief end in life is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. My content on this site and my life in general is invariably tainted by my own sinfulness and, for that, I seek your forgiveness in advance. :-) But my desire is to contribute thoughtful, interesting, and useful opinions and ideas. Your mileage may vary, but at least you know where I am coming from. :-)
Family: I am gratefully and happily married and blessed with four children. Family is very important to me and a high priority in my life. My father was one of eleven children and, though life was always hard growing up in poverty and tough times, his family has maintained a strong bond over the long years. We have family reunions every other summer where four generations of Nesbitts get together to honor the past and press on toward the future.
Personality: If you favor Myers-Briggs classifications, I am very much an INTP. For those of you not into Myers-Briggs classifications, suffice to say, I am a little weird. :-) And nerdy. But that's "OK". :-) I like to think, I like the world of ideas, and I like challenges.
Work: I am a software engineer. For the decade of the 1990s, I worked for a large, yet very innovative, corporation. For the decade of the 2000s, I have worked for 7 different start-up companies. I have enjoyed the excitement and challenge of building a business from nothing, but sometimes the rollercoaster ride does get a little bumpy.
Geography: I grew up in Orange County, California and have spent all but two years of my life living in Southern California. The other two years were spent in Orange County, New York. :-) I have lived in Los Angeles since 1990 and am extremely fond of this city. The weather, opportunity, and diversity make LA a very unique and interesting place to exist. I have travelled to Japan and Germany three times each and wouldn't mind going again and again.
