My exposure to Alan Colmes was always as an off-set to Sean Hannity and more recently to Monica Crowley in some segments of The O'Reilley Factor. I decided to give this book and was pleasantly surprised. Alan is an extremely talented writer who presents cogent arguments to present his points. He takes the literal definition of the word "liberal" and then goes to show that just about … more

Mike S. Adams has been there. In his own words the author "was once one of those bright kids, lost for seventeen angry years because of professors who lured me into their reasonless angst. It almost killed me. But I survived." Eventually Mike emerged from his funk and these days he is a professor of criminology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, a nationally syndicated columnist and … more

INDIVIDUAL CONSCIENCE ----Not a simple subject---- Section 1: Tonight I watched a 2009 doco entitled: The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers.1 On the spectrum from heroic patriot to craven traitor, Daniel Ellsberg is portrayed in this doco as firmly on the side of the heroic. In this detailed, clearly told and persuasive film, … more
San Francisco and New York City are experimenting with a somewhat new concept in urban housing-the micro studio apartment. A micro-studio has between 220 and 350 square feet of space. This is just enough living space for a small family unit of 1-3 people. The driving forces behind this new concept are the high cost of living space in cities, the need for new housing, events … more
"When we talk about political bullying, we're talking about the bullying of private citizens by government actors, media heavies, Hollywood, and organizational allies outside of government. THAT sort of bullying creates a climate of fear among Americans, forcing them to abandon cherished principles, back nasty causes, or shut up entirely. And the left relies on that sort of bullying to the … more

Rush Limbaugh is nothing more than an oxycodone-guzzling windbag with a radio slot and uses it just to annoy and offend people. Now I'm not one of these guys pushing for political correctness in entertainment (I despise PC enterertainment a lot), but the fact that Rush isn't the least bit entertaining is what turns a potentially amusing conservative media personality into an … more
