Dear God.... I keep thinking that the campaign to dumb down our educational system (aka outcome based teaching) has been wildly successful. What else would explain this woman's ability to get people to listen to her? I fear for my country. I really do.

That wouldn't be such a bad thing either, so long as the people aren't some conformist, autonomous society. And the entire idea of borders, boundaries, and territories is the product of humankind's need to name, measure, and compartmentalize things so that they become "controllable".

It was in reference to Obama's anti-nuke speech last Spring. She basically said that not having nukes stockpiled for defense was like having a kid on the playground who won't stand up for himself. Which is ridiculous because standing up for yourself on the playground doesn't result in killing thousands of people or massive environmental damage.

I had not heard this. This ridiculous analogy is not surprise to me. Like a few other Tea Party types, their hearts are good but their lack of facts and just being sassy because they can get away with it does not win my vote. :)

I suppose the good news is that Palin is eminently forgettable. Calling Sarah Palin "divisive" seems like an abuse of the word, when you almost have to create a new word in the Urban Dictionary to describe her. This is the first time I've reviewed an actual politician. It's hard to be "unbiased" in this sense, but Sarah Palin is an interesting woman.
