One of the premiere horse farms, Claiborne is also the resting spot of the great Secretariat, one of the few race horses to be given a full body burial. I could have gone all my life without knowing how the rest of those horses are buried. Big Red was euthanized the year before I planned to visit the farm, but I refuse to think that it was part of a plot.
Why would anyone not want to visit the Incan city in the clouds? It actually has become a popular tourist destination. A friend of mine went a couple of years ago.
It must have escaped my mind. I love ancient South American achitecture.

I can't believe that it's such a common tourist destination now. Somehow that doesn't seem right. I can't help thinking it should be incredibly difficult to get to so that it doesn't attract just ANYBODY, if you know what I mean.

Same with Poenari. People had even died trying to ascend the hill to get to it, yet it remains a popular tourist attraction and historical site. Luckily, there are stairs now.
