Rutger Hauer in a comedy? Now THAT'S scary. He plays sort of a blind Japanese swordsman, if you can picture that. In fact he plays a blind swordsman even if you can't picture it.
A young Chinese man suddenly has to produce a fiance when his parents arrive from China for a visit. The problem is that he's not engaged and he's currently living with his kwailo homosexual lover. Oops.
A lonely plumber poses as a director in order to meet women. The writer whose script he's tolen uses the opportunity to try and get her movie made. Smarter than it sounds.
No real knowledge of Hamlet needed here, just a willingness to strain your ears for the verbal bon mots. The film was shot on location and the castle was not soundtrack friendly.
Why doesn't this flick get the respect it deserves? Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear are Siamese Twins who go out to Hollywood so Kinnear can pursue his dream to become an actor.
If you read comic books, go to science fiction conventions, or think $300 is a fair price for a Boba Fett figure then you are bound to recognize yourself in this hilarious movie in which Wlliam Sahtner wants to do an operatic version of Hamlet.
Yahoo Serious, are you kidding? Nope, I'm serious.

Man Bites Dog is a Belgian film, not French. We don't have too many films to be proud of, so don't take the few we have away from us ;) Greetings from a Belgian.

I LOVE the list and agree with all of it, but I gotta say Hollywood Shuffle, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka!, Galaxy Quest, Hot Fuzz, and Kung Fu Hustle are some of the best films ever made. But the same can be said for everything on this list.
