My Favorite Werewolf Movies

  • Aug 17, 2009
You had to know this one was coming!
1
Poster of the film.
MY VERY, VERY FAVORITE WEREWOLF MOVIE EVER!
2
Ginger Snaps
A great new concept for a tired old subgenre.
3
An American Werewolf in London
A horror/comedy classic.
4
Dog Soldiers
Damn I love this movie even if they do lots of stupid things in. The fight in the kitchen is hilarious.
5
The Company of Wolves
Great effects, a bizarre story based on fairy tales, and Stephen Rea too!
6
Wolfen
Maybe not a literal adaptation of the book, but a pretty good one.
8
Another truly original take on the subgenre. A girl traveling with a freak show is afflicted with a disease that makes her resemble a wolf. When she meets someone who has done extensive research on the disease,  he offers her a chance at a cure--with unforseen results.
9
Curse of the Queerwolf
Mark Pirro's sequel to A POLISH VAMPIRE IN BURBANK. "Even a wrist that is stong and firm and holds itself up high, May become limp when the moon is full and it's owner has turned Bi."
10
Werewolf of London
It doesn't really hold up that well with age, but when it comes to old flix I'll still pick this one over Chaney Jr's. I just can't accept him As Claude Rains' son.
11
The Curse of the Werewolf
Hammer tried and mostly succeeded with this Oliver Reed flick.
