Original? That woud take a lot of time since I have to really think about it. Innovation? That would be easy to answer....Well, there is the Walking Dead, KICK ASS, Hellblazer, Preacher, Chew (arguably the most original), Strangers, Y The Last Man....as for innovation that reflects some major changes in the tone; JLA by Meltzer (but DC stopped the innovation when it became darker), Avengers and Thor are really becoming more mature. The Authoriy is one of the most innovative team books I've read. X-men was pretty awesome in the 70's-80's. All comics have the potential to become for adults, it depends on the writer and how the reviewer sees it. I can write a mature, insanely dark story with Mickey Mouse and Betty and Veronica...
