I don't reread a lot of books, and the few that I do are those that I consider really good. As far as films go, the remake of
Planet of the Apes is a film I regularly watch. When I'm really bored, I'll break out the
Lost In Space flick.

Oh, sweet Jesus, what a question. My scifi guilty pleasure has always been a toss-up between the 1980 version of FLASH GORDON and an 80's Peter Strauss flick called SPACEHUNTER: ADVENTURE IN THE FORBIDDEN ZONE. I can watch them endlessly, and it just irks the hell out of my wife b/c both films really are very cheesey. But I love me some cheese. Otherwise, I very rarely reread books. I have way too many to read once let alone twice, though I have read a few twice.

I, too, don't re-read many books, but i do read Asimov's short story, "The Last Question," at least once a year, usually after i recommend it to someone. (Might have to read it tonight now lol) As for movies: can't go wrong w/ The Matrix. But i would have to say i regularly watch Star Wars Episodes II and III several times a year. I love them lol.

I guess for me it's Galaxy Quest. The movie was meant as a parody of Star Trek and the conventions that it has. If I am flipping the channel and I see it, I always start watching it. The funny thing is that I bought the DVD and have yet to watch it.

My favorite in this category is "Starship Troopers", scientifically ridiculous, somewhat fascist in tone yet some of the best BEMs (without the eyes) ever to appear on film. The concept of two species battling to the death is one that is not unrealistic.
