What smart phone should I get? I want a camera that can take great close-up shots and post online, social network update capability, QWERTY keyboard would be nice, editing documents would be cool, etc...

well, a lot of folks like the new iphone but I have switched to the Android and have been happy with it. The new Motorola Razr has gorilla glass, HD camera, I think at least an 8+ megapixel camera, Kevlar casing and is dual core to handle all the needs of social media. I am so getting it after my plan is done.

I have an LG Quantum Windows 7 phone. It's pretty good once you get past some of the annoyances like jumping through flaming MS hoops to update it, and the touch screen keyboard keys are smaller than the iPhone's. I haven't used the camera much, for one because it is terrible in dimly lit places. But the QWERTY board is really nice, and it does come with MS Office, which seems to be fully funtional. It is great for getting online, the only drawback in that respect is that it isn't Flash enabled. It also lets you link multiple email accounts so that you only have to access one inbox. Apps are a little tricky though. A lot of sites that offer apps only offer them for iPhone and Android. For instance, the online game I play has a mini games app for the iPhone and iPad, but not for Windows Phone. If I weren't with AT&T, I'd be snapping up that Razr Woo is talking about because there are some pretty noticeable flaws with this one. Oddly enough, recently I updated the software and enabled the battery save function, but found the battery being drained even faster than BEFORE I updated it, even when I wasn't using it. However, it's a pretty good little smart phone - easy to use, easy to hold, easy to adjust, etc. I'm not sure about if there's a way to put ringtones on it. It's not like other phones I've had where I could go to the AT&T marketplace and download tones from my favorite bands. But for me that's ok since it keeps me from running up my bill. ^^

Thanks, Storm! That Razr does sound pretty cool :)

ooooh....that sounds fancy lol But, seriously, I might have to have that. I mean Kevlar is just mandatory for when I'm beating down the bad guys and I don't know what gorilla glass is but, if it's the same gorilla that was in Rise of the Planet of the Apes...I.AM.DOWN! I've heard good things about the iPhone but, I'm not really into supporting Apple. I think it's living down the street from them or maybe the fact that they rely on sweat shops and numerous labor code violations. The hubs has Android and loves it. I'm going to have to look into pricing for the Razr and see if it matches my plan/budget. Thanks Woo!

Gorilla glass is near-scratch proof, and is very durable. Kevlar is so cool since it can protect your chest (having the phone in your jacket pocket) from a bullet LOL! Apple has good products, and I guess I am like your hubby, I usually don't go for something everyone else has. It is $ 199 exclusive from Verizon with a plan.

Things that make you go hmmmm....might have to think about $200 lol but, it might be worth it if it saves my life ;p
