i think most airline lounges are over-rated and not worth the extra money that they charge to have access to them. But, i was really impressed with the Alaska Airline lounge at LAX because they had a nice bar, but more importantly they have a pancake machine. I just pressed a button and it made me pancakes 2 pancakes for breakfast. Genius!

Thanks, JR! That sounds like a great way to start the day! Generally I find airport lounges lacking a good breakfast spread. I didn't know the airline charges extra money for access though. For my own experience, I generally have free access to them as long as I'm either a Gold or Platinum member for the said alliance. Personally, my best airport lounge experience are in Tokyo. There is free flow of local beer (on the tap) which I love and also the sushi and snacks are great! The NWA Narita airport lounge which I frequent in the past years used to have iMac in their lounges. I thought that was cool! :-) I had not visited since it was bought over by Delta.
