Easy one. Robert J. Sawyer hands down. Honorable mention to Orson Scott Card. There are a few others that have written a couple of really good tales (The Unicorporated Man) but Sawyer has been prolific in writing compelling tales.

Good answer. I made badges for these guys as well. There's also Jack McDevitt, who I only have read one novel so far, Time Travelers Never Die.
