If I had a vote I think I would have to go with Bert Blyleven and Robbie Alomar. Not entirely sure who else is eligible this year but I have heard the names Jack Morris and Tim Raines mentioned but neither of them strikes me as Hall Of Fame material. I would classify them both as just a notch below.

Interesting that with the Cy Young voting of Felix Hernandez, which all of a sudden downplays the value of wins, Bert Blyleven now looks a whole lot better. He seemed to always have a great ERA early in his career but had hard luck with run support. Morris was very dominant for most of his career and I cannot understand why he is not in. His game 7 performance in 91 was one of the top 5 all-time series pitching performances.

Jeff Bagwell, Larry Walker and John Franco are all worthy additions and I think they should be voted in. Although admittedly their numbers are not overpowering. However, the one that should be voted in is Ron Santo.

Certainly an argument can be made for Morris for me he falls just a bit short. There are several people inducted now who I do not believe belong there including WIllie Stargell and Joe Morgan to name but two....
