Eating raw foods is the most important thing you can do to stay healthy and fit. There is more usable protein when you combine the amino acids from greens, vegetables, nuts and beans than there is in any meat on the planet. There is more health and flavor in freshly picked wild berries than in any store-bought in a package. This isn't revolutionary, it's basic. This isn't speculation. It's fact. http://reallyrawraederle.blogspot.com
I love doing yoga. It's a great alternative to crunches and push-ups. It's fun, it's mind-activating, and it heals your internal organs. Combine this with a raw food lifestyle and you're on a fast track to becoming healthy and happy.
Having a yoga mat helps. It makes it easy to do yoga anywhere, anytime. Also, it creates a 'place' where healing happens. The association of the yoga mat with relaxation and regeneration makes it easy to get into the right mindset every time you put your bare feet on it.
Taking a bath is a great way to get rid of stress. By soaking in a hot bath you can relieve yourself of toxins on the skin, relax your tense muscles, and give your mind a much needed break.
Meditation, at least in one form, is vital to peace of mind. You can meditate through art, gardening, bathing, or dancing, and likely in many other ways as well. The most important aspect is that your mind come into focus on a present task that isn't stressful. Yoga and trance dance are great ways to begin training the mind in this way.
This book changed my life, and really helped me understand what I was doing to hurt myself and my own happiness and how I could change and more forward. It made me understand the purpose of life and took away the uncertainty in my own actions.
Dancing gets your body moving. It's important to move because it's vital to detoxing. If you don't think you need to detox; you're wrong. Right now, everyone in America (and possibly everyone on the planet) is breathing in jet fuel. It's a proven fact. You want to get it out of you! Dancing is also great because it feels good and gets your brain to relax.
You can't claim to be healthy if you're not doing what's healthy for your planet. You'll feel better about yourself and about your world when you know you're doing the right thing for yourself and for everyone else.
What an inspirational list! I agree with the Yoga especially; it's wonderful for the mind and body and makes a HUGE difference in how one feels. The writing daily is something else I totally believe in. The foods you mentioned are ones I love also, but I really do need to eat more raw veggies and I'm glad you mentioned this. The weekly enema doesn't appeal to me though LOL but I can imagine it would be beneficial! Thank you for sharing your wonderful list...
Great list. I love all of the food on your list. I really like you have Recycling on your list and what you wrote about it. Thanks. Here's to a healthier you and a healthier planet.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. :) That last item is important too. It's something that's highly overlooked.
Great list, lady, right on! I love pretty much all of the things on this list, but I still need to read The Art of Happiness, and I've never heard of anyone doing a weekly enema before. I mostly only hear about people having the latter for medical procedures, but I'll have to read up on it. Thanks for sharing!
Growing up I was sick so often that I barely lived. So, at seventeen I made a huge lifestyle change that brought me to the understanding of the importance of what we eat. I'd say at this point in my life … more
