Not quite as good as the first film and a little too similar to del Toro's "Blade II", this sequel falls into mediocrity and lacks a heart.

Not as dark or funny as Mignola's comic books, but entertaining nonetheless. Del Toro's vision is impressive if not conducive to the comics.

So, somewhere along the line it was decided that making films based on toy lines was a good idea, but it wasn't! Military vs. robots. Yuck!
