I think that it's important to carve out a specific niche for the community, especially when there are other communities that cover similar subject matter. Thus, I want to keep the community focused on mature comics, graphic novels, and manga only. There are already so many films based on superheroes and most are aimed at children and teens and I like the idea of the community taking a far more sophisticated approach intended to stimulate adults instead. Writers and artists in the field always say that they struggle to write material for older, more intelligent readers and to fight against the misconception that comic books are for children, which is why Beyond the Printed Page is unique. We don't focus on funnies or silly newspaper strips or superhero action figures. I'd like to see it stay that way.
