World War Hulk is a story that really does get better for me with additonal reads. It's so much different from the usual Hulk stories where he went on mindless rampages or just wanted to be left alone. Seeing him completely focused on what he's doing and seeking revenge against his friends who betrayed him was pretty fresh.
This story has some very good character interactions and some even better battles. Watching Iron Man tackle Hulk in his Hulkbuster armor was something else, and Hulk dismantling the Fantastic Four was pretty bad-ass. But that final battle with the Sentry, an ending I didn't really care for at first, provided the right amount of closure and in the process shows how powerful a completely rage-filled Hulk can be. This is definitely among my favorite Hulk stories.
