Dyna-Flex - A Small Powerful Wonder

I have been using different devices to strengthen my arms and wrist for many years. I race motocross and karts (electric and outdoor Sodi, etc). I have found this device to enhance my stamina and build muscles in my hands, wrist, and arms. … see full wiki

Dyna-Flex - A Small Powerful Wonder

You've probably have seen a picture of what looks like a tennis ball in plastic housing. It has no electric powered motor. What looks like a paper-weight is a modern day "productive"

This instrument is called a Gyroscopic exercise tool. A few brands have come out with their own version of this device, Dyna-Flex Powerball , NSD Powerball, and DFX Powerball to name a few. I personally have the Dyna-Flex Powerball. It is activated by tugging on the starter cord or swiping your thumb over a smooth surface to get the wheel moving. From there, moving your hand in a circular motion, the gyro inside builds up speeds of 10,000 RPMs.

The benefits of using this apparatus are endless. It's great for those who have rehabilitation needs, from repetitive motion injuries, and or arthritis, professional athletes, musicians, and anyone that wants to strengthen their wrist and arms. Another benefit is pure fun! If you're like me, you will want to master a complex yet simple device. In addition, you can use this device anywhere; sitting, standing in line, almost anywhere. As the ball spins progressively faster, the more benefit your muscles receive. You can and will see results over time. Even your biceps will get a workout, because they help turn your palm up (Supination) which is involved in keeping the gyro spinning.

This is a device which takes patience. Some try and give up because they become frustrated it's not working for them. Like anything which has a significant benefit, you have to stick with it. Once you have it mastered, it will be like riding a bike. You might fall off a few times, however, once you've got it, you've got it for life!

This looks like an interesting instrumentality. Wrists and arms can be strengthened with light weights.

This sounds really interesting. Does it make your hands more... muscular? I'm looking for anything that can strengthen my hands and arms so that I can do monkey bars!

Yes! It takes strength to hold after it spins up. It wants to jump out your hand! Will send you a video from my iPhone 4s later today.
