I've Always Been a Fan...

Keanu is a Hawaiian word which means cool breeze over the mountains. I think it suits this actor well. The feeling I get from Keanu whenever I see him act is one of a calm, collected, and not easily surprised man. I admire his "quiet guy" persona and I think that is what draws a lot of attention to him, from us women folk anyway.

The first time I remember seeing Keanu on film would have been Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. He was just a kid at the time, (as was I), and though I thought the movie was funny, it wasn't on the top of my list of favorites. Not until Point Break did I really start paying attention to his career.

I fell in love with Neo, the main character in The Matrix trilogy. I became somewhat of a fanatic, seeing all three of the movies at least twice each when they came to theater. I bought the soundtracks for each of them as well.

Constantine is another of his films that I found entertaining, and I thought he was charming in his role as Julian Mercer, the hot young doctor trying to date Erica (Diane Keaton), in Something's Gotta Give.

Speed was where he made his impact for me. The Matrix is the ultimate. That's one of my most favorite movies. Other than that, I've enjoyed The Lake House and that movie he co-star Al Pacino, what's that again? Oh yes, THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE!!! That was one great movie!
