Sophie Dahl has basically lived the most glamorous life I can possibly imagine. She's a high-fashion model who's done campaigns for YSL, Versace, and editorials. And get this: she's plus-sized. Yeah, that's right, she gets to eat and model. (Though recently, I think she's lost a lot of weight — too bad!).
If that wasn't spectacular enough, she's the grand-daughter of children's book author Roald Dahl and a bonafide author in her own right. She's written an "adult fairy tale" called The Man with the Dancing Eyes and a coming-of-age novel called Playing with the Grown-ups.
What's the cherry on top of all this? Her writing is actually pretty good. Granted, she's not as imaginative as her grandfather, but she shares a similar sense of the ridiculous and absurd. Her prose is playful and clever, and has a lot of heart.
Word has it that she's penning a collection of short stories. In the meanwhile, check out her novel, Playing with the Grown-Ups.

I guess that pic probably isn't the most representative of her former size, but yeah, even her "plus-sized" just meant she had hips.
Yay for plus size models! although the it should be "plus size" ... in quotes.. yay marilyn monroe! haha... Thanks for the suggestion - I'll check out Playing with the Grown-Ups
