One of the original members of the UK Class of 1976.

The Slits were a punk group fronted by a 14 year old Ari-Up. Their style of music was basic, fast and loud. Over the next few years the band (along with a revolving door of several members) changed their sound into a more dance/reggae/pop sound. It took a few years for the group to secure a major record deal and the lack of commercial success along with the growing tensions in the band caused the band to break up.
