Come On Over And Take A Listen To Christina Aguilera's Debut...

Pros: Aguilera has a great voice, a few good pop songs, great ballads... Cons: ...a couple of bland songs which tend to blend together The Bottom Line: Aguilera's debut is a good album of pop music, with a few outstanding ballads thrown in which makes it even better. A Harbinger of Things To Come

Pros: The entire album... Cons: Nothing, well one thing, we never got to hear Christina in full bloom. This is Christina Aguilera's debut album and admittedly the album is a little formulated, but it does go a long way toward showcasing this amazing little blonde’s amazing set of chops. This album shows her true-beginning-talent.

Christina debut album had definitely exceeded my expectations back then. It was not a sugary bubblegum pop filled album like that other Mouse-keteer, but an album with R&B songs mixed with a little pop and packed with a lot of soul! She had introduced us to a voice that has a lot of depth and showcased it extremely well for someone her age. What's with the Amazon.com reviewer? Get someone to review these things who actually has an understanding and general like for this type of music!OK - so my take.. this is an artist with a lot of promise who will surely develop her material as she develops as an individual. I disagree with the comparisons to Mariah and Whitney - must we compare any female who can sing to other popular female singers?
