No Doubt is quickly becomming one of my favorite new bands. On Rock Steady Gwen, Tony, Tom, and Adrian provide a diverse sampling of modern rock, hip hop, ballads, and even reggae. More importantly these songs are all loaded with many catchy hooks. The sound stays fresh from start to finish. I just adore the reggae flavored Underneath It All. The rap part fits in like a hand in a glove. The title track also has some pleasing reggae tones and soothing harmonies. In My Head is another soft soothing …

Pros: Good songs, Gwen's voice      Cons: A few boring tracks, lyrics aren't all that unique     The Bottom Line: Rock Steady is a good No Doubt album, but I'm really looking foward to see where they'll go on their next album. I am such a die-hard fan of No Doubt, and especially Gwen, that it is hard for me to say anything negative about them.But if you listen to the music and haunting lyrics of "Tragic Kingdom," and to a lesser extent, "Return of Saturn," this album just isn't the same No Doubt.The band decided to "go Jamaican" in this album, and for the most part it worked, but after listening to this album over and over again since I got it, I have to say it doesn't …
