A 1985 painting by Greg Hildebrandt for an illustrated edition of "Dracula".

This magnificent cover painting is from Greg Hildebrandt's 1985 illustrated edition of Dracula.

There have been numerous depictions of everyone's favorite vampire Count in artwork over the years, but this is perhaps one of my favorite of the more recent works. It's also a great example of how Greg Hildebrandt can move from doing whimsical fantasy paintings to something darker.

It's probably my favorite painting of Greg Hildebrandt since he and his brother started working solo.
