Disneyland Tomorrowland Terrace - Scot Bruce
My favorite time to go to Disneyland is on an overcast day in January or February when the only limitation on the number of attractions you can ride is your ability to walk briskly from one to another.  Sometimes, though, you have no choice but to go on a crowded day (e.g. you have relatives in from out of town or it is your wife's birthday).  How can anyone have a good time at Disneyland when the line for Space Mountain is 2 hours?      Well, there are two main …

I hadn't been to Disneyland for more than 20 years.  I had the opportunity to go recently with my girlfriend and her 5 and 9 year old cousins.   I enjoyed the combination of shows and rides that characterizes the experience, and I had the usual complaints (expensive food, long lines).   As with most people, I enjoyed both the park itself, and also taking kids to the park who were so enmeshed in the experience and so into the entire concept.      …

If I could give Disneyland a +6 rating, I would.      For some reason, I have a totally sadistic and creepy obsession with all things Disney. Like, I once nerd-ed out so hard about Disney trivia that I cried because I was so overwhelmed with emotion - just as one might cry when discussing their favorite cause/charity. I wish I was joking about this.      When I moved to Los Angeles a few months ago I knew I'd be going to Disneyland ASAP. I went sometime in …

Who doesn't love this place? So chill if you have an annual pass. Friday nights are great for dinner and Space Mountain!

Disneyland
I always think of fond memories when I think of Disneyland.  I'm a born and bred Orange County kid at heart and can't count the number of times I've been there.      Now living in Texas, I definitely miss having it right up the freeway from me.  Going on a nice warm summer day was the greatest!  Sure, you have to beat the crowds just about all day, but that's part of the fun... and their "Fast Pass" system makes things a lot easier.    My …

Pros: Family entertainment, exciting, lovable characters     Cons: Too comercial, a giant marketing gimmick for Disney movies and products.     The Bottom Line: A must see for any family with small children.      Our little boy is about to turn 3 years old and had a tough year medically (2 surgeries and chemotherapy for a tumor). Thankfully he is well and ready to start having fun again. We thought a trip to Disney was in order - just what …

Pros: Great rides, great family-friendly atmosphere, fast passes, wonderful shows, Disney's magic lasts forever...     Cons: ...older rides don't have fast passes, no "real" rollercoasters, PRICES!      The Bottom Line: Disneyland is called the Happiest Place On Earth for a reason. Children and adults alike can find a reason to genuinely smile at the Disneyland resort.     After two long months of work and school, my friends and I decided …

Pros: Great Rides, location, and fun.     Cons: May be a bit costly for some, food is expensive. Not many Thrill rides.     The Bottom Line: Still the grandest of all the theme parks     It is hard to believe that Disneyland is 50. The place of so many happy moments from my Childhood and adult years were spent at this special place.      Disneyland is often thought of as the standard for all theme parks to aspire as …

Pros: Memories/sites/togetherness     Cons: Long lines/cost        This is only my experience in sending my kids to Florida. You have to be the judge when it comes to being able to afford the trip. You have a lot of waiting in long lines, as much as one hour or more. Unless you get a fast pass. Is the trip worth the money? Or could you go somewhere else closer, you have to be the judge. The real question is whether or not Disney World is worth the …
