A Quick Tip by Count_Orlok_22

As a child growing up, Dahl's stories were so bizarre, inventive, and quirky that I couldn't help but love them. With his witty eccentricity and his combination of juvenile fantasy, slightly edgy humor, and likable characters (as well as some not so likable characters), Dahl managed to create some wonderful short stories and novels that presented children with morality tales without frightening them or boring them half to death.

roald dahl, sadistic adult author?

I adored Roald Dahl's books like Matilda and Charlie & The Chocolate Factory as a kid — and then I was totally appalled by him as an adult. Who would have known that this childhood hero could have penned sadistic, macabre adult short stories called "Switch Bitch"? Actually, I admire Roald Dahl a lot more because of it.
