True Crime Queen!

  • Feb 7, 2000
Pros: True Crime Compendiums, Very gripping!

Cons: None

Ann Rule is the premier true crime author. She has written scores of true crime books, some entire books on a single crime, but most, like this one are compendiums or vignettes of many unrelated stories. All of her stories deal with the Seattle or Washington state area.

Ann was a former Seattle police officer writes with a style that is honest and full of detail. As the old saying goes "truth is stranger than fiction" and Ann knows how to bring this to life.

Ann has had 14 books be rated #1 on the NY Times bestseller list as is recognized as the premier writer in the true crime genre. Ann gets into her characters and reveals why people commit horrific crimes of murder. The snapshots of her characters are the best feature of her books. The killer is always identified at the end of each story and she doesn't leave any loose ends.

A Rose for her Grave was the first in her series of crime volumes. If you're a fan of crime or real life stories, Ann Rule is the best. I anxiously await her new books every year!
