Herein lies a good novel

This is a short, highly readable and engrossing novel about a free spirited woman who settles in a small town, with her methodical husband, her intrusive mother in law, and her irrepressible friend and neighbor. The story initially centers on her new friendship with her neighbor, but gradually comes to focus on the main character herself.
