Afraid by Jack Kilborn
A helicopter crashes in the isolated, small town of Safe Haven, Wisconsin and releases a group of psychopathic soldiers who start torturing and killing everyone in town in order to gain the information they need to accomplish their mission. The sheriff, a firefighter, and a waitress manage to escape the initial attacks and must find a way to stop the intruders. Afraid is a decent thriller with non-stop action, but I didn't feel like it brought anything new to the genre. It reminded me a lot of Dean …
