We all learned about the holocaust and WWII in school but not from this perspective. Anne Frank is an amazing writer and her account of her life during these terrible times is just amazing. Who would have known that such a young child would have such insight to what was actually going on. Written by the woman who helped hide Anne Frank, her family, and another family, this might be one of the most remarkable books I think I've ever read. I wouldn't say it's particularly well-written (it's not really supposed to be), it just tells the story from her perspective and it's pretty astounding.
