Even After Death...

Since recently becoming a fan of Shakespeare, Homer, and all (well, most) things Classical, I decided to pick up Aristophanes from the library. Part of the reason I chose him, was because I had recently listened to the soundtrack for Frogs the Musical, and I wanted to read the original.

Can I just say how much I love Aristophanes now? He is hilarious, using puns like nobody's business, and playing with words like they're yo-yo's. I wish I was better with history because I know he makes fun of politicians and so forth in a most brilliant matter.

For those of you who have enjoyed Shakespeare, or Homer, or Sophocles, I would most definitely recommend taking a chance and reading some of Aristophanes. I would be very surprised if you regretted it.
