Blankets is on my top 10 list of favorite books, and one of my top 5 favorite graphic novels. Thompson really sucks you into his world with his creative illustrations, and the way that he portrays emotional situations with so much paisley and so many swirls is breathtaking - it makes me want to live inside his mind. It is not often that a novel is accompanied with a soundtrack, and graphic novels are not something with which I am very knowledgeable.
