I have read almost every book Ted Dekker has ever written and each one seems to just get better and more twisted than the last. The Bonemans Daughter is about a father and a daughter, who are estranged. The daughter is kidnapped by the Boneman. A serial killer on the hunt for the perfect daughter. A serial killer who could be a few different men is dormant for two long years. It may be because the man who's been convicted has been placed behind bars, or maybe because he is yet uncaptured and fighting terrorism in a desert across the world. Or maybe the man is waiting and stalking his next victim. Bizarre twists and turns keep the reader wondering, doubting and riveted. Ryan Evans has served his country well as an intelligence officer for the navy. On the other hand his role as a husband and a father has been lacking at best. When a mission goes wrong near Fallujah, Ryan comes face to face with a horrific reality causing him to reflect on his own personal failures.
