Great art - and funny for adults, JUST NOT FOR KIDDIES!

  • Jan 25, 2010
If this would be a review of the art alone this book deserves five stars at least (Wonder Bear was great!).
As I said, if... If it wouldn't be for the stories...
Amazon says this is suitable for pre-school kiddies. Are we planning to raise more monsters or what?
Putting bunnies into the washing machine for cleaning (bunnies are perfectly able to clean themselves), sewing back on cut-off tails etc.etc. And then the cliches: stupid goats, innocent bunnies in need of help, bears coming to the rescue...
Don't get me wrong, I love good humor and I can see it here.
But what if you can barely read and your sarcasm hasn't been fully developed simply because you lack the necessary amount of life experience...
A book for this age group should not need the parents' advice not to try this at home.
If you want cute stories for the little ones you should check out Dick Bruna's Niffy.
